Daniel Berlin is back. With a new venue and a spectacular new location. But with the same uncompromising vision and relentless focus on delivering a first class dining experience with the best Scandinavia has to offer. Building on from the philosophy that rendered him accolades all over the world and ultimately won him two Michelin stars, Daniel is on a mission to create the restaurant of his dreams.
WHAT?
The ambition is to create a destination and a holistic experience that offers not only world class cuisine stemming from Daniel’s Scanian and Scandinavian roots and the local flora and fauna, but also ample time and opportunity to wind down and contemplate—both before, during and after your dinner.
Therefore the restaurant will be accompanied by an adjacent 18 room boutique hotel (incl. 3 generous suites). Offering you the possibility to spend a tranquil night or two. To unhurriedly explore everything that Österlen has to offer. Or just simply to breathe and unwind. What’s more, on the premises, a casual and more intimate all-week open food & wine bar will complement the flagship venue and serve lighter in-season dishes to the public and breakfast to the patrons of the hotel—or picnic baskets, should you prefer to take your breakfast elsewhere, in the charming Österlen countryside.
WHERE?
Daniel has found the ideal setting for this new venture in the very south east of Sweden; in Skåne and the picturesque Österlen region, commonly dubbed the Provence (or Tuscany) of Sweden. A stately former farm sitting on the top of a hill, with a magnificent view of the Österlen countryside and the Baltic Sea, with some 18 acres of land extending all the way down to the waterfront—and within a walking or hiking distance from many of the marvelous destinations and adventures in the area.
WHEN?
The Boutique Hotel and the Food & Wine Bar are expected to open next summer, in July 2023. The flagship restaurant a few months later, in the autumn next year.
